Jo Jo Zep - Taxi Mary (BLB Missing 12 Inch Mix)

\
There was a small period there in the early 80s when Australian music went all calypso. The Models wanted us to go to Barbados. Mental as Anything were rocking Hawaiian shirts and singing "If You Leave Me" The rest of the world was embracing New Romanticism or Yacht Rock in 1982, and we were stuck listening to bloody steel drums on Countdown on a Sunday night.

Even Jo Jo Zep got in on the act, no doubt fuelled by coke, dance floor dreams, and blow jobs from Jane Clifton.

Check out this ripper of a remix by Butch le Butch. Don't let the bubble burst.
