L'Enfant -- I Can't Believe It

Hot little indie-disco track this. I just got back from Golden Plains, so this sounds just about right, right now, right here. Indie vocals, indie groove. Man, I think I left my trucker's cap on the hill !

Flight Facilities for 'triple j Mix Up Exclusives': 1992-2002

The first two instalments of this four part harmony of Ableton mixadelica were kinda worth listening to, but then grew a bit tired.

This sets the notch a little higher, fusing together a party set of hip-hop that melds into some big beat madness.

Pretty true to how Soggy remembers that decade.

MICHAEL NESMITH - Capsule (extended, lazy softrock disco jam edit by DJ Supermarkt)

Here's my main man in Berlin, once again! DJ Supermarkt is back on the yacht rock tip, delivering an edit that's all about the slow, smoooooth build. It's extended, it's gradual and casual. A bass line that will just sit in your mind and push out Carly Rae Jepson. Pianos that tinkle, lyrics that shine. Chuck on that polo and pop the collar, ditch the GQ's advice about boat shoes and socks and get on this track. Drift away!

You may have already heard this remix. It's been added to the AOR Disco blog already, but you may have caught it on the new Soggy Disco Biscuit mixtape. I'm slammin' this guy's edits. His version of "Jeopardy" was the one track that got the floor moving at my gigs at the Marquis of Lorne. When I say floor, I mean that one drunk guy at the bar who actually clocked what I was playing.

Good times!

Masters at Work -- NYE Sydney 2013

Deep, deep inside. Deep, deep down inside.

When I heard that Masters At Work were in the country, I almost blew a fuse. It's been well over ten years since I danced on their floor. They bring a party, no doubt! But to hear that they were playing up north was just too much.

I couldn't make the gig. Glad I could download it, though.

Big set! It's a journey into sound. You know what to expect. That bouncing 90s beat. Bumpedy-bump. Low-key bass-lines, India on the vocals, and big smiles all round. So many mash-ups! Check out the mix from "God Made Me Funkee" into "Plastic Dreams". Now, that's what it was like on the floor all those years ago. Four dex, two legends, one soundcloud link.

Hit play, yo!

Soggy Disco Biscuit -- Volume 24

Two years in the making! Flick me! I've been posting this ridiculous podcast for two years now. Aren't you bored with it yet?

So, a bit of both sides of the river this month. I've dropped another mix into AORdisco.blogspot.com for a laugh. The first half hour is all that. It's a bit of a journey through love. Its ups and downs. They're not all break-up songs, but they might as well be. Grab your hanky!

From there on in is some disco just the way we like it here at Soggy Bloggy HQ. LNTG is still ripping it up, but check that Gazeebo track. Blinding! And I know I said I'd never play the Style Council's version of "Promised Land", but wait till you get a loud of this edit.
